Request account deletion
Treehouse is provided by Dev Byte Labs, LLC. You can request deletion whether or not you still have the app installed.
Email an account deletion requestSend the request from the email address associated with your Treehouse account. If the button does not open your email app, write to support@treehousetasks.com with the subject “Treehouse account deletion request.”
We may send verification instructions before processing the request so another person cannot delete your account without permission.
Delete from the Treehouse app
- Sign in to Treehouse.
- Open your profile.
- Scroll to Danger Zone.
- Select Delete my account and confirm.
If you cannot sign in or no longer have the app, use the email request option above. You will not be required to reinstall the app.
What happens after a deletion request
- Your Treehouse account and profile are immediately marked for deletion and become unavailable.
- You have seven days to sign back in and cancel the deletion. After that recovery period, the account is permanently deleted.
- If you own a family, its child profiles and shared family data are also permanently deleted.
- If you are a member of a family owned by someone else, your profile and personal identifiers are removed. Shared household records may remain without identifying you so the family can continue using them.
- Uploaded account files and notification settings associated with the deleted account are removed.
Subscriptions and retained records
Treehouse cancels active subscriptions billed directly by Treehouse when account deletion begins.
Apple App Store or Google Play subscriptions are controlled by your store account. Cancel those subscriptions in your Apple or Google subscription settings before deleting your Treehouse account to prevent future store billing.
We may retain limited transaction, fraud-prevention, security, or legal records when required by law. These records are protected and are not used to continue providing the deleted account.
